I would give this three stars as it’s quite misleading in my opinion. Although this sunscreen has not flared up my Perioral dermatitis and not given me any acne (which is amazing and why I’ve given 3 stars!!), it unfortunately does not suit my skin tone and is a lot more matte than advertised. I’m seeing many people say it’s leaving a glowy or dewy finish, but it dries completely matte which I do not mind. Just seems misleading.
There is a slight tackiness when you do touch your face, even after dry down. I thought this shade would suit me as it says suitable for Fitzpatrick IV, however, as a tanned skin Bengali woman, this definitely is too grey for me and light wish there was more shades for us! Because I would’ve tolerated it more😭 Still helps even out my skin tone a bit but better if you’re close to this light medium neutral skin tone.
Under makeup, it’s okay I guess but I still think there are better options. Can be quite patchy on the skin, especially clinging to any dry skin areas. You also need to blend this in quickly as it sets fast. To be honest, I’m desperate to remove my PD and haven’t been able to wear sunscreen for about 4/5 months now properly but this is the only one that hasn’t flared my skin issue. So that’s the best thing for me personally.
Unfortunately, for my skin it doesn’t look the best throughout the day maybe it’s the shade issue? And my oils with this sunscreen don’t mix well? But again, tolerating it due to being so desperate. Definitely re apply for a fresher look and sun protection but after 5 -7 hours of not being in the sun, I don’t think it looks as good as other brands. I just feel gross looking but maybe that’s just my skin and after one round of Wudu water on the face mixing with the product.
Very long review but, overall, I don’t mind the product and wish there was more shades and a little more hydration. Feels weightless on the skin. The packaging is annoying as it doesn’t stand up, silver covering on lid also comes off on fingers and can go in face sometimes.
